For information about the eligibility of your public artwork please see the Public Art Fund Guidelines. Eligible projects could include, but are not limited to:
- Works such as sculpture, street art, pou whenua, sound, light, new genre public art, land art, murals, relational aesthetics, digital art, moving image and installations
- Artists contributing to urban design developments (such as parks, streets, bridges,buildings and street furniture)
- Temporary public art activities and events, such as performance artworks, time-based sculpture,sonic art, projections, paste-ups, media arts, and movable works
- Artists working with communities in public spaces
This is a $30,000 match fund. As such any successful grants will only be disbursed once the same amount of funding is sourced by applicants from additional sources (for instance, if you are applying for $5000 from the Public Art Fund you will need to match that with $5000 from other places). Applications are assessed twice yearly by the Public Art Steering Group.
