Art in the Garden 2023

For those with an appreciation for art and a fondness for garden strolls, Art in the Garden is a must-visit.

December 2-3, 2023 – 9am to 4pm

38 Pauls Rd, Whanganui East

Stroll through the gardens at 38 Pauls Road and discover a collection of art, predominantly outdoor pieces, all created by local artists. For visitors wishing to take a piece of Whanganui home, a diverse selection of locally-made art is available for purchase.

Are you a keen gardener? Plants are also available for sale.

One highlight you shouldn’t miss is the Raku firing sessions. The Whanganui Potters Studio will showcase its raku firing. Attendees have the opportunity to purchase a piece of bisque-fired pottery, select a glaze, and then watch as their chosen pottery piece undergoes the raku firing process.

For those intrigued by the world of pottery, club members will provide demonstrations on various techniques, from wheel throwing to slab building.

Entrance is free. To keep the venue serene for all, visitors are kindly requested to leave their pets at home.
