JANUARY Iconic DC-3 returns to Whanganui skies

Air Chathams’ iconic 1945 Douglas DC-3 is returning to Whanganui for Vintage Weekend 2025!

The aircraft flew New Zealand National Airways Corporation passenger services from April 1953 until the late 1960s. This aircraft is a true-blue Kiwi, having served with the Royal NZ Airforce, National Airways Corporation, and even as an aerial top-dresser within NZ.

Air Chathams is excited to support the Whanganui Aero Club Open Day on Sunday, January 19 and Monday, January 20 with thrilling 30-minute city-to-coast scenic flights!
