Whanganui & Partners, the Economic Development Agency for Whanganui, is looking for an experienced strategic leader to implement our capability-building and international education activity.
Reporting to the Chief Executive of Whanganui & Partners, you will manage a variety of projects across the education and training sector creating greater effectiveness between education services and sectors. You will have a strong understanding of Whanganui and the broader region’s labour market, focusing on gaps and opportunities. You will also be tasked with developing and implementing a plan for international education.
To be successful in the role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the tertiary education and training sector, have strong relationships with industry and be a leader in building networks across this diverse sector. You will also need a strategic mindset and an interest in the economic development space.
This is a rewarding role with high visibility of your output. You will find a broad range of projects that work closely with other Whanganui & Partners Strategic Leads covering our key sectors in Agribusiness, Creative Industries, Destination Management and Manufacturing and Logistics.
Whanganui is growing, and we need to ensure we are growing our own talent and attracting talent to fulfil the capability needs of Whanganui now and in the future. You will have a key role to play in this exciting shift as we grow Whanganui’s economy.
