Hanoi student wins scholarship for Whanganui study
Whanganui and Hanoi share very few similarities but that’s part of the appeal for Vietnamese student Vu Thi Bang Trang, who has won a scholarship to study at Whanganui High School in 2024.
Whanganui & Partners, the Economic Development Agency for Whanganui, is looking for an experienced communications and marketing professional to implement our marketing and communications activity.
Reporting to the Strategic Lead for marketing, you will manage our key channels on a day-to-day basis including website, e-newsletters and social media channels for both the Whanganui destination brand and Whanganui & Partners itself.
You will be a highly skilled copywriter, supporting the development of both proactive and reactive media releases alongside supporting the wider team as we develop marketing collateral, presentations and other key documents.
To be successful in the role, you will need to have a strong understanding of public relations and social media platforms and management, and an interest in the economic development space.
This is a rewarding role with high visibility of your output. You will find a broad range of activities that will encompass promoting tourism, business activity and the general economic performance of our local economy amongst others.
Whanganui is growing, has a vibrant creative community and a strong sense of where it is heading. You will have a key role to play in this exciting shift as we grow Whanganui’s economy.
This is a full-time permanent role.
