Whanganui hosts a rare solo performance from The Veils as part of their Fragile World Aotearoa tour. One of just four solo dates nationwide, this Concert Chamber show offers an intimate take on the band’s powerful live presence.
“It feels right to start our Fragile World tour back home in dear Aotearoa. These are some of our favorite towns to play in on earth and we can’t think of a better way to dust off this moth-bitten black suit and hat and get the show on the road. Come along, be merry, and as always come up and say hi” says Finn Andrews.
The tour follows the release of Fragile World, the band’s ninth studio album, recorded live to tape in New Zealand by Paddy Hill, with production by Tom Healy. Arriving just over a year after Asphodels, the new record captures The Veils in an urgent, instinctive mode.
This is a rare chance to experience The Veils up close, in a Whanganui setting that suits the music’s intensity and restraint.
