Join Whanganui’s Lean Group for free and gain access to a focused support programme running until June 2025 with monthly events from Lean expert, ci labs. ci labs will introduce you and your team to Lean methodologies, enhancing capability and understanding of how it can be implemented so that you are empowered to take action in your workplace.
Free Lean events
- Lean Induction: A free 2-hour Lean induction session is hosted onsite by a Lean Group business each month, open to all Lean Group members. Facilitated by continuous improvement expert Darcy Mellsop from ci labs, this offers a “light touch” introduction to Lean practices for staff at all levels, using real examples of Lean in action.
- Lean Group Site Visits: These free monthly site visits allow businesses to network and share insights on Lean initiatives, offering a platform for collective learning and support.
1:1 Lean support
The Lean Group offers selected businesses access to discounted 1:1 support through ci labs. These businesses hold a private 1-day workshop and followup sessions, and are also the hosts for a site visit and induction during one of the months.
- 1-Day Workshop: ci labs runs an intensive 1-day workshop involving key senior and middle management personnel. Together, they create a tailored Lean action plan, with specific objectives for the next six weeks of Lean implementation.
- Workshop Follow-Ups: Follow-up sessions are held the following 1-day workshops to provide ongoing guidance and support, ensuring progress and development in implementing Lean practices.
About Our Lean Provider, ci labs
The Lean Group is supported by ci lab, a team of continuous improvement experts led by Darcy Mellsop. Darcy facilitates Lean inductions and site visits, providing businesses with hands-on guidance to apply Lean strategies in their operations. ci labs also offers one-day intensive workshops for selected Lean Group members, where senior and middle management teams create a custom Lean action plan to implement within their businesses.
